basically the article claims that only men typically chew kola. well i know plenty women who chew it too, myself included. i particularly love the sweetness it leaves on the tongue once the bitter has worn off :) if u drink pyoo water at this point, e go be like say sugar dey inside.

in fact there is just so much about this nut. in most naija and dare i say west african traditional marriages, the deal cannot be done with out the presence of the mighty KOLA NUT and PALM WINE or OGOGRO or AKPETESHIE or whatever name the local brew goes by. 

La Noix de Cola et la Sexualité au Sénégal
